Shoptet is one of the most popular online store providers in the Czech market so it is very likely that you run your online store on Shoptet. Be it as it may, integrating our payment gateway into online stores run on Shoptet has never been easier.
The only thing you need to do is buy and install the Shoptet plug-in. Go to Shoptet, find the Settings tab and click Shipping & payments and then Payment methods. A new bar labelled Card payments/easy bank transfers will appear. The bar will be grey and a grey cross mark will appear in the Visibility column. Although everything looks inactive, it is OK. Do not click on anything – your time will come.
Log into ThePay. If you have already set up the payment gateway, link it to Shoptet. If you have not yet set up the payment gateway and/or signed up for ThePay, complete these steps first. Here, you can find more information about how to sign up for ThePay and set up the payment gateway.
Have you signed up for ThePay and set up the payment gateway? Great! Click Settings.
In the Payment gateway settings, you should see a checkbox which reads: Link to Shoptet 1. Tick the checkbox and it turns blue.
Now set the status that will be displayed in Shoptet when the payment is made. There are several options to choose from. Choose the option to match the status you have selected in Shoptet and save the settings.
Return to Shoptet. In the Settings tab, click Shipping & payments and then Payment method. In the payment method section, check that you have the Pricing tab set correctly. Only the default online store currency set in Shoptet will be displayed. To add other currencies one by one, click Add. To view your default currency, go to Settings, Basic settings, Currencies.
Last step but not least, changes the visibility attribute. Click on the attribute. The grey cross should turn into a green tick, which means that payment method is visible for your customers.
By default, you only have one payment method in Shoptet, which leads to the ThePay payment gateway, and the customer chooses the payment method only with us. So the choice in Shoptet looks like this:
If you want to allow customers to choose a specific payment method directly in the order process in your e-shop, this is possible. Log in to ThePay and click on Settings in your e-shop.
Then, at the bottom of the page, find the Payment methods settings box. Here, set the methods you want to be enabled on the payment gateway and then click the button Save and transfer to Shoptet. The button always overrides all methods you have set as enabled. In the picture below, it's just card payments.
Now you have all payment methods enabled in Shoptet. As a final step, they just need to set their visibility. After that, the availability of payment methods for customers is governed by the standard shipping and payment settings in Shoptet.
ThePay never changes the availability of your payment methods in Shoptet and sets all methods as hidden. You are in control of your e-shop.
